01. WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY SESSION

For a newborn shoot it’s best to book around the time of your 20 weeks scan, to make sure that you get a session at the best possible time for the baby (around 7-14 days old is best). We also always pencil in two dates just incase you go over due!

For bumps, I always advise booking a shoot for around 28-34 weeks and you can book this is in as soon as you feel ready to do so.

For any milestone or family shoot, just book as soon as you’re thinking about it, Peak weekend dates can book up fast.

To secure your session you simply need to you pay a £100 booking fee. This booking fee is then deducted from your session fee. A date is not secured until this payment has been received,

YES! I’ve got your back. Once your booking has been confirmed you’ll receive my specially created style guide . This will give you plenty of time to plan and style your family for your session. I also have a small client wardrobe of dresses for mums to choose from. There is also a selection of outfits for newborns and children aged 1-4.

A newborn session takes around 2-3 hours, depending on the baby. It’s common for babies to take a while to settle. I only book one Newborn session per day to make ensure my full attention. 

Family and maternity sessions start are around to 1.5 hours depending on which session you opt for

This is probably one of my most asked questions. Nobody wants to be shooting in the rain, or high winds so I can assure you that if we are forecast rain or severe wind that our session will simply be postponed to a mutually convenient date. This is usually within the same week where possible, I do not book more than 3 to 4 photo shoots a week to ensure that I have flexibility for the unpredictable, UK weather. This may mean you have booked a weekend date but may be offered a mid week date due to the weather.

I will usually leave it until the day of the shoot to make the call as the weather can change very quickly. If you are travelling from further afield, we may make the decision slightly further in advance.

For me, there really is nothing quite like capturing your family as the sunsets. An evening in the sun is by far the world’s best antidote to busy family life.. Revel in your children’s excited faces as they realise they have skipped bedtime and let them show you how to relax, after all children are the masters of play. 

 There is no way to fake the gorgeous sun flares and light halos you see in all my outdoor work, That only happens in the very first and very last hour of sunrise / sunset. And, Nobody wants to be getting up at 3 am in the morning for a photo shoot!

I know it can be daunting, keeping your children up, but with the right prep, late in the day car naps and a quiet day at home before hand it really is worth it. Treat it as the adventure it is, just for one night.

Within 7 days of your session you’ll be sent a link to your private gallery with a small selection of previews. Once all your images from photoshoot have been fully edited ( this is around 4 weeks later) you can choose your images and look at upgrades. My upgrade packages start at £175. ​

I offer the flexibility of sessions available across the UK! Photoshoots within 40 miles of SO18 1GT are seamlessly included in your session fee, ensuring easy accessibility for local shoots. For sessions falling between 40 and 80 miles each way, there is a minimum spend requirement of £525, allowing us to extend our services to a wider geographical range. Quotes for sessions exceeding 80 miles are available upon request, ensuring that we can tailor our photography services to suit your unique location and preferences.
