When is the best time to book a STUDIO photography session?

For Newborn Photography, The ideal time is within the first two- three weeks after birth, but sessions can take place at any point during the newborn stage. Older babies are always welcome.

Maternity photography sessions are best scheduled between 28–34 weeks, when your bump is beautifully defined but you’re still feeling comfortable. You’re welcome to book as soon as you feel ready.

For milestone or family photography, I recommend booking as soon as you start thinking about it, especially for weekend dates, which tend to fill up quickly.

Sessions are unhurried and usually last between one and two hours. This allows time for feeding, settling, and natural moments to unfold without pressure. Motherhood and milestone sessions typically last around an hour, family sessions around two hours, and extended family sessions between two to three hours depending on numbers and individual needs. Newborn sessions are fully baby-led, with time for feeding, settling and breaks as needed. There’s never any rushing, and I won’t be watching the clock if a little extra time is needed.

That’s completely okay. I work with children all the time and I’m a mum to three children myself, two of whom have additional needs. I understand that every child is different, and there’s never any expectation for them to sit still or perform.

Children are free to move, play and be themselves. I’ll gently follow their lead, offering space when it’s needed and guidance when it helps. Some of the most meaningful moments come from simply letting things unfold naturally, just as they are.
