Natural Pregnancy Photography at Home

We started the session inside their home, making the most of the stunning natural light pouring through the windows. I am always drawn to soft shadows, gentle movement, and the calm feeling that comes from photographing people exactly as they are. Nothing overly posed. Nothing forced. Just the two of them together, counting down the days until they meet their baby.

Their bedroom had the dreamiest light, which created such an intimate atmosphere for those quieter images curled up together. The softness of the tones, the texture in the bedding, and the way they naturally settled into one another made these photographs feel incredibly timeless.

As the sun got stronger, we moved outside into the garden. Summer maternity sessions at home are one of my favourite things to photograph because you can combine cosy indoor storytelling with outdoor portraits that still feel deeply personal. Their garden was full of beautiful light and greenery, giving us space to slow down and create something really natural.
